According to Gizmichina, Xiaomi has just released a teaser video to signal the arrival of the NFC version of Mi Band 3. They also officially confirmed that it would start selling the Mi Band 3 NFC edition starting September 19 with a price tag of 199 yuan or approx. N10,500 naira. Through the poster below, Xiaomijuga has confirmed that they have sent 50 million Mi Bands devices that can be worn throughout the world.
Compared to the regular version, Mi Band 3 NFC will come with support for payment without contact via Mi Pay, which is the official mobile payment service from Xiaomi. In addition to supporting payment without contact, the NFC enabled PoS terminal, the NFC version of Mi Band 3 will support city bus ticket payments in 167 cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Wuhan, Tianjin, Shijiazhuang, Suzhou, Hefei, Xi’an, and Jilin in China. Though no such tech in Nigeria yet! The Mi Band 3 has a curved OLED display of 0.78 inches which brings support for 128 x 80 pixels. This device offers battery life of up to 20 days with normal use. The NFC version also offers water resistance of up to 50 meters. This device is also equipped with a heart rate sensor. Apart from sleeping tracks, step count, calories burned, and immovable reminders. It can also be used to check notifications of incoming calls and messages from paired smartphones. Other features include weather forecast and alarm clock. The Mi Band 3 NFC version will be available for purchase starting September 19, 2018, through online Xiaomi store at a price of 199 yuan around N10,500 naira in Nigeria. However, there is still no confirmation about the arrival of the Mi Band 3 NFC variant in Nigeria and other markets outside China. More on Xiaomi:
