What comes in a 2.5-inch form and has the ability to hold over 5,000 full HD Movies? Samsung PM 1643.  It is a SAS drive with a 30.72TB capacity that is built out of the latest V-NAND chips. The new Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) drive offers impressive sequential read and write speeds of up to 2,100MB/s and 1,700 MB/s. This is about three times as fast as the average SSD you’d find on a consumer desktop or laptop. On the durability side, Samsung says you can write 30.72TB of data each day for five years. A five-year warranty is the best you can get for any hard drive out there. The exact date when the PM 1643 goes on sale is still unknown with a representative confirming plans to expand their range of SAS SSD later this year. We’re still very far away from getting this kind of storage on a laptop but for now, Samsung has provided the best way to store all your data. Related Products:
