Jack Dorsey also announced the news of his resignation as CEO of Twitter through his latest tweet, where he uploaded the contents of an email sent to all Twitter employees regarding his position.
I resigned from Twitter pic.twitter.com/G5tUkSSxkl — jack⚡️ (@jack) November 29, 2021 “After almost 16 years of having a role in our company, from Co-Founder to CEO to Chair to Exec Chair to interim-CEO to CEO again, I decided it’s finally time for me to leave,” Dorsey wrote. Dorsey also said that as of today (29/11/2021) he is no longer CEO and his position has been replaced by Parag Agrawal, who previously served as CTO at Twitter. Parag is said to be the most suitable person to be the CEO of Twitter because he has helped Dorsey a lot in running his company. The Indian-born man has high creativity and is humble, so he was chosen by Dorsey and the board to be the new CEO. Jack Dorsey will also assist Parag in the transition to the CEO position as a member of the board. And after Parag could lead Twitter well, Dorsey left Twitter completely. “Parag is CEO starting today, I am going to serve on the board through my term to help Parag and Bret with the transition. And after that, I will leave the board. Why not stay on Twitter or become chairman? I believe it is really important to give Parag the space he needs to lead. And back to my previous point, I believe it’s critical a company can stand on its own, free of its founder’s influence or direction,” he continued.
