Both companies held a launching event at a mall in Jakarta. There are two new ASUS laptops announced, each coming from the Aspire and Swift lines. The two Acer AMD laptops introduced are the Aspire 3 and Swift 3. All the laptop are equipped with AMD Ryzen New Technology and Radeon RX Vega Graphics that is claimed to improve performance and graphics up to two times better and it’s able to support activity such as multitasking optimally.
The Swift 3 comes with two versions of AMD — Ryzen 5 (2500U) and 7 (2700U), Acer also mentions that the laptop is an ultrabook equipped with gaming capability. Ryzen 7 is claimed as the fastest ultra-thin notebook processor in the world for now. Both variants of this processor are able to provide maximum CPU performance on ultra-thin notebooks. Therefore, this device is not only meant for gamers but also for the businessmen. In detail, the Swift 3 variant Ryzen 5 specifications include 15.6 inch Full HD IPS (1920 x 1080), AMD Ryzen 5 2500U mobile processor, Radeon Vega 8 graphics, Linux, 8 GB DDR 4, 1 TB HDD, and BT 4.1 + WiFi.
Conversely, the Aspire 3 comes as an AMD Ryzen laptop with six different types of graphics card that uses Ryzen 3 2200U + Radeon Vega 3 / Radeon 535 2GB, Ryzen 5 2500U + Radeon Vega 8 / Radeon 535 2GB, Ryzen 7 2700U + Radeon Vega 10 / Radeon 535 2GB. Swift 3 Ryzen 5 is priced at Rp 9.6 million (approx. N250,000 Naira) and Swift 3 Ryzen 7 is priced at Rp 12.5 million (approx. N320,000 Naira).
